The Social Story also talks about the emotions that might come and how it is possible to hold simultaneous conflicting emotions.
To prepare for reopening, a team of teachers created this Social Story to offer to the children and families. It walks through things that will be different, as well as things that will be the same. The Social Story also talks about the emotions that might come and how it is possible to hold simultaneous conflicting emotions. Hello, I am an Early Childhood Educator and a workshop facilitator living in Edmonton, AB Canada. I am currently putting together a number of resources for ECEs to use when the children return to their day care environment. The social story that your educators put together for your school is very well written, representing the experiences the children will encounter as well as the emotional responses. I think this is a wonderful tool to prepare children for the

As a Reggio inspired educator, I've always admired the work you do at your school. I love the social story about returning to school. I wrote something similar last year when our center changed locations. I'm wondering if your state is not requiring children 2 yrs and older to wear masks as I see no reference to it it the story? Here in Illinois, as of now, it is mandated .Thank you for your time.

This is such an incredible resource for the early education community. Thank you for sharing and making it accessible to us all. My program is currently planning to reopen June 15 and I am in the process of making a social story specific to our school. Would it be ok to use some of the language verbatim that is published in the Boulder Journey School's?
